Travel Tips and Advice

Visit Northern Thailand from November to February for cooler, drier weather and ideal sightseeing conditions.

Dress modestly, covering shoulders and knees, especially for temple visits. Lightweight, breathable clothing is best for comfort in the warm climate.

Stay hydrated due to the tropical heat; carry water and snacks, especially for excursions to remote areas.

Respect local customs: greet with a “wai” (hands together with a slight bow) and show courtesy when interacting with locals.

Cash is often preferred in rural areas; carry Thai Baht as small vendors may not accept cards, even though cities like Bangkok have ATMs and card options.

Speak respectfully about the Thai royal family, as they hold a revered place in Thai society.
